The well-known British newspaper The Telegraph opened a feature on Marbella, Marbella rocks in the Telegraph in its edition of March 25.
The article, which appeared in the publication’s Luxury Section, charts the resurgence of Marbella as a quality tourist and residential destination, highlighting how strong demand for the area’s properties and lifestyle is producing a notable revival in its real estate market.
The news comes from a British press that was quick to emphasise the downturn in Spain’s property sector at the outset of the global financial crisis, but now recognises that areas such as Marbella are seeing a strong recovery and return to growth.
The feature also acknowledges the strength of the top segment of the market, and in particular the growing competition among buyers for showpiece locations and properties, the latter now including sleek modern villas featuring the latest mod cons that are in keeping with new tastes in aesthetics and functionality.
It observes that this strong demand for Marbella homes is also spreading from the top down to the mid- to high price category, incorporating in this not only existing or renovated villas in good locations but also attractive apartments set amid green gardens.
