Once again Valderrama is leading a prestigious ranking – ‘Golf Digest’, which includes three local golf courses in the national ‘top ten’.
A total of 27 rounds are part of the ranking of experts of the British golf sector, that is, one out of four Spain’s top 100 golf courses is on the Costa del Golf.
Four of the Costa del Golf courses are ranked among the first 6 ones in Spain, which have been chosen by top100golfcourses The Real Club de Golf de Sotogrande holds position number 2 after the recent restoration of its layout by Robert Trend Jones, and now ranks ahead the single course that has hosted a Ryder Cup outside British and US territory so far- Real Club de Golf Valderrama. The latter occupies the number 3 position of the prestigious web chart, specialized in evaluating the best layouts and resorts of the world.
Golf Las Brisas
One of the luxury resorts international golfers value the most is Finca Cortesín, which offers such levels of excellence to visitors that has climbed up to number 5 in this ranking, ahead one of the most traditional layouts along the Costa del Sol: Las Brisas. Following an important investment for the layout improvement and redesign, this Marbella golf course has inched up to the position number 6, ahead of much more high profile courses.
Among the top 20 rounds there are also other relevant ones on the Costa del Sol such as La Reserva de Sotogrande and The San Roque Club.
Golf Aloha
Aloha Golf, Santana Golf and Los Naranjos Golf, right in the heart of Marbella golf area, are ranked together with El Chaparral and Mijas Golf (Los Lagos) as part of the top 50 Spanish ones, as well as Guadalmina Golf southern round. The list of the top 27 courses of the Costa del Sol among Spain’s top 100 layouts also include Campo América de La Cala Golf, El Parador de Golf de Málaga, Torrequebrada Golf, Atalaya Old Course, Rio Real, La Quinta and its A&C rounds. The first Andalusian Links, Alcaidesa Links Resort, together with Alhaurín Golf and Novo Sancti Petri (Cádiz), occupy some of the top positions in this ranking. This long list is completed with Los Olivos (Mijas), Los Flamingos (Benhavís), Asia de La Cala Resort (Mijas Costa), Los Arqueros, Marbella Club and Marbella Golf Resort.
